Associate Professor Deborah Churchman has held academic roles at Australian and
tertiary institutions for over 35 years and has researched, published and consulted in
the areas of communication, culture and higher education. She has served on a
number of academic boards, providing advice in the area of learning and teaching
and has also been engaged by universities to evaluate courses, curriculum and
assessment, with emphasis on constructive alignment and learning outcomes.
In recent years, she has focused on strategies to engage students and enhance
learning through development of graduate attributes, innovative assessment
strategies and the embedding of key workplace universal skills in a range of
subjects. This has culminated in a role as Director of Learning and Teaching which
enables her to use her comprehensive and varied experience to help provide a
quality student experience.
