About AIFE

AIFE – A unique provider of high-quality professional development education for academic staff

The Australia Institute of Future Education (AIFE) is a TEQSA-accredited higher education provider, focused on advancing transnational education and global academic collaboration.
AIFE works in partnership with universities worldwide to co-develop and deliver high-quality education programs across multiple countries and learning environments. Its collaborative model integrates academic pathways, teaching delivery, and assessment frameworks within a unified system that supports student progression across a range of higher education programs.
Through this approach, AIFE enables partner institutions to deliver consistent, high-quality transnational education, while supporting students in developing the academic skills and capabilities required for success in English-medium higher education environments.
In addition to its transnational education activities, AIFE supports research and academic engagement through collaborative initiatives and academic development programs. As part of its TEQSA-approved scope, AIFE delivers postgraduate coursework programs, including:

  • Graduate Certificate in Research Practice for Scientists and Engineers
  • Graduate Certificate in Global Higher Education

These programs are designed to support academics and researchers in enhancing their teaching, curriculum design, and research capabilities within an international context.
AIFE delivers its programs through a combination of collaborative in-country delivery and digital learning environments, enabling flexible and scalable access for students and academic staff across diverse global settings.

Additionally, universities and other education institutions are seeking to enhance their reputations as high quality and globally oriented education and research providers, and so are focused on sourcing and developing excellence in their staff.

These combined circumstances have led to AIFE developing and delivering a select offering of higher education courses, which provide university employers with the pathway to enhance the quality and outcomes of their academic teaching and research and hence, student success.

AIFE’s professional development courses will enhance the knowledge, skills and capability of staff, thereby also enhancing the quality of the research and teaching reputation of their employing university.

AIFE is committed to ensuring that students from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to participate in AIFE courses on an equitable basis. AIFE’s policies and procedures concerning student equity and diversity are specifically framed toward these outcomes.

TEQSA standards

The Australia Institute of Future Education (AIFE) is certified by the Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency (TEQSA), which is responsible for regulating and assuring the quality of all higher education providers in Australia.

The Australian higher education sector includes public and private universities, Australian branches of overseas universities, university colleges and higher education institutes.

Higher education providers offer qualifications ranging from undergraduate awards (bachelor degrees, associate degrees and advanced diplomas) to postgraduate awards (graduate certificates and diplomas, masters and doctoral degrees).

The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act) requires TEQSA to:

  • register regulated entities as higher education providers and accredit their courses of study;
  • conduct compliance and quality assessments;
  • conduct re-accreditation assessments of courses developed by providers without self-accrediting authority;
  • provide advice and make recommendations to the Commonwealth Minister responsible for Education on matters relating to the quality and regulation of higher education providers;
  • cooperate with similar agencies in other countries;
  • collect, analyse, interpret and disseminate information relating to quality assurance practice and quality improvement in higher education; and
  • investigate and take action against individuals or organisations offering or advertising commercial academic cheating services to students at Australian higher education providers.
