Career / Professional Highlights


Gavin grew up in the desert mining city of Broken Hill in far western New South Wales. He was the first in his family to attend university where he studied to become a high school teacher. After several years teaching in high school, he returned to university to continue his tertiary education. After graduating from Monash University with a Master of Education (International Education) degree he completed a full-time PhD focused on the internationalisation of learning and teaching in higher education. Gavin has been working with university educators since 2006. He has led national education projects and has published in the area of international education and learning and teaching in higher education.
