Career / Professional Highlights


Toni is currently a non-executive director on the Ted Noffs Foundation board, member of the University of Konstanz Excellence Advisory Board, Australian Representative of The World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) Asia Pacific Chapter, and Emeritus Professor at POLIS: The Centre for Social Policy Research, Australian National University (ANU).

Toni has held senior positions in government and the university sector, including Director (CEO) of the Australian Institute of Criminology and Dean of the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences. She has been awarded an Order of Australia (AM) for services to public administration and education and has completed the AICD Company Directors course.

She has served on a range of advisory boards, including the Australian National Council on Drugs, the NHMRC Code of Ethics Review Committee which reviewed the NHMRC/ARC Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, was a foundational board director of the Survey Research Centre, a wholly owned subsidiary of ANU Enterprise and was the inaugural chair of the Griffith Institute of Criminology’s Industry and International Advisory Board.
